To all of you who are involved with the Patriot Guard:
I would like to introduce myself to you and thank you for what you do. I am Laurence E Butterfield Sr from Vermont. I am a Disabled (amputee) Viet Nam Veteran. I am also a songwriter.
A few years back now, on a visit to Maine, I became involved in a situation where protestors were creating havoc for a fallen Iraq soldiers funeral. At this rally, Patriot Guard riders were also present. I rode with the bikers, in my truck which was adorned with flags to support the fallen hero and his family and loved ones.
Long story, short ... the situation so moved me, that I wrote "Funeral Ballad". As this song echoes what you stand for, I thought I would bring it to your attention. Here is a link to my web site where you may hear it and read the lyrics. I hope you enjoy it and Please, share this with as many people as you think will enjoy it. (Please be patient, the song sometimes takes a moment or two to load.)

I wanted to share this with those of you who do what you do before the song is released on my album which I hope to have on CD Baby and other internet stores in late April.
Again, thanks for your support.
